Having a drill stop is critical when working on an Airstream. If you're drilling into the skins you only have 1.5 inches in between and the last thing you want to do is punch through your skins where don't want a hole. That's where the drill stop comes in, no more accidently drilling too deep. The drill stop keeps the drill from going too far. A coiled spring in the drill stop helps cushion the drill breakthrough & stops the drill chuck from marring the surface.
